Interpretive Architecture

We believe that for visitor centers to be successful and enjoyable places of learning, the building should become a part of the interpretive message, working with the exhibits to provide a richly layered experience.

Fletcher Farr Ayotte works in partnership with exhibit designers, landscape architects, and graphic artists to create spaces that work in harmony with the educational process to make it fun and exciting.

The firm's design work encompasses new facilities, such as the Mt. Rainier Visitor Center, as well as rehabilitations and additions to existing buildings, such as the Columbia River Maritime Museum Expansion.
