Our Approach to Housing Projects

Multi-Family

Our designs for multi-family housing range from dense urban infill projects to award-winning mixed use structures that serve as components of sound pedestrian-oriented development. The projects have universally enjoyed strong market acceptance and serve as replicable models for future development, meeting the needs of developers, municipalities, and residents.

Mixed Use Structures

Wherever appropriate, FFA's multi-family housing designs incorporate a mix of uses to provide tenants, neighborhoods, and passers-by with needed services that are accessible without having to get in a car.

Recent examples of FFA's successful mixed use designs can be found throughout the Portland metro area, from the Orenco Station Town Center in Hillsboro, to the Village at Lovejoy Fountain in Portland's South Auditorium District.

Single-Family

Since the firm's inception in 1955, we have been providing custom residential designs as unique as our clients. Our founder, Bill Fletcher, built his reputation on residential design and helped define a regional Northwest vernacular style. His tradition for site-sensitive, engaging designs is carried on by partner, Dale Farr, who has designed hundreds of striking private residences throughout the Northwest. Dale is currently completing work on projects in Portland and Central Oregon.
