University of the Pacific Library Master Plan and Phase 1 Addition

Stockton, California

FFA, in association with Stockton architect Wenell Mattheis Bowe, developed a master plan for to guide the library's future development. The design team worked with a Design Committee composed of representatives from the library, University faculty and administrators. The primary goal for the project was to provide the University with a vision for the future that will address the long term construction and phasing challenges presented by the library building program.

The first phase completed by the Library Master Plan was a 17,000 square foot addition in September 2005. The addition includes an expansion of the library collections, reading room spaces, new meeting rooms, study rooms, and a multi-media studio designed to accommodate new information technologies.

Additional improvements are planned and they are on hold pending funding.
