Expansion and Renovation

FFA is currently working with the City of Richland, the Richland Library and the citizens of Richland on designs for the renovation and expansion of the existing 33,000 square foot library. When complete, the project, which has been designed to LEED Silver requirements will modernize and upgrade the facility as well as expand it to a total of 58,000 square feet.

The existing 1960's-era library lacked much of the infrastructure required of modern libraries to accommodate current and future information technologies and library services. FFA has created an open plan structure of the original building for new services, while almost doubling the size of the library, creating open, light-filled spaces for enlarged collections, seating areas and new meeting rooms.
