Forest Grove City Library Expansion and AdditionForest Grove, OregonFFA conducted a master plan study for the Forest Grove City Library. The study concluded an 11,500 square foot addition and 13,500 square foot renovation would best meet current and future needs of the community. Based on this plan, voters passed a bond measure to fund the addition and FFA was selected to complete the design. The Phase I addition was designed to be compatible with the existing building, including the main entrance, fireplace, collections, and a new circulation desk with staff offices. Site design also provided additional parking, landscaped area and a south-facing plaza. Phase II consists primarily of interior renovations to the original 13,500 square foot library. The team revisited the master plan to serve as a guide for the renovation process. Improvements include an expansion of the community meeting space, the children's library and mezzanine as well as lighting upgrades. |
